Joseph Guiteau

Joseph Guiteau

Former Haitian mayor and industrial entrepreneur, Joseph Guiteau has invested his time and his savings into the agricultural industry and spirituous liquors. He was later elected as deputy of Lascahobas, Belladère, Savanette and Baptiste. Joseph Guiteau was an outstanding legislator in the 33rd Haitian Legislature.

As his grandson, I’ve had the pleasure and honor of knowing him before his passing. I remember him as a man greatly attached to nature. In my eyes, he remains a citizen animated by noble principles and ideals. His strong commitment to the environment and the protection of tillable fields was recognized by the people from his generation.

Although he is now passed, the memory of Joseph Guiteau, Deputy, will live through the important accomplishments of this Foundation, named after him.
