Areas of Intervention

The Joseph Guiteau Foundation takes action to increase awareness, mostly in education- and environment-related fields. Its main areas of interventions are the fight against poverty and the fight against environmental degradation, which are two interrelated phenomena.

Therefore, The Joseph Guiteau Foundation offers its financial support to small projects that can improve the critical living conditions in which many vulnerable Haitien people inhabit. The Foundation gives special weight to the following intervention areas:

1. Sustainable development
2. Fight against poverty
3. Potable water
4. Draining and protection of watersheds and ravines
5. Training of youngsters (regarding natural environment protection)
6. Awareness of the population regarding a rational use of natural resources
7. Support to the establishment of municipal policies related to integrated rural sustainable development.
